Guilt has a certain look
There is such a thing as too much coffee. (Coming from me, you better believe it.)
Staying over at Jo's. Her mum whipped up a delicious meal of stir-fried baby kailan in oyster sauce, scrambled eggs with prawns, fried fish and STEAMED CRAYFISH with plum sauce.
Picture this-
Jo and I spend an afternoon in town. After lunch with Chaz at Maxwell, we shop at Zara and have an afternoon coffee and cake at Big-O.
At dinner, Jo's mum starts talking about the two spoilt daughters of her friends who do not work and yet spend their parents' money shopping at expensive places like Mango and Zara and eat at expensive Western restaurant. I cast The Look at Jo and try not to burst out laughing. The irony is not lost on us.
If any consolation, I am living on my savings. And I got a part-time job transcribing interviews for an NUS lecturer for $10 an hour!
Oh, and here are the flyers I designed for my mission trip programmes in Nov-Dec:
The Key to Success English camp
Alpha Christmas party
