Playing tour guide part I

Emily, Mariko, Rika and IMy colleagues from the Tokyo office are here for a short vacation and I volunteered to play tour guide since I am off work these two weeks.
It was great meeting up with them in the flesh. Rika actually joined the company the same time as I did and we were trained together via video conference and she is the sweetest thing ever! She asked me what I wanted from Tokyo, and I joked that I wanted Fukuyama Masaharu gift-wrapped for Christmas and she got me his latest remix album (which I have been wanting to get but it is ridiculously expensive as an import) PLUS a whole box of chocolate moshi for me. And I have Peter's present waiting for me on my work desk too. Sugoii desu ne!
I brought the girls to Far East Plaza for shopping, manicures and kaya toast and kopi (oishii!) and then to Tangs and the Heeren. Next step was Newton for an authentic seafood zi char feast and catching up with Chika-chan who relocated to the Singapore office and hearing funny stories about people in the Tokyo office. Oh, and I couldn't resist doing my Japanese porn star imitation which left them in stitches.
Joe arrived as the chauffeur and we dropped the girls' shopping bags at their hotel before heading to MOS to experience the night life in Singapore. It was my first time there too, and I especially loved Studio 54- you should have seen me when they played the Beatles' "I wanna hold your hand". I am such a dork.
Will write about my Hong Kong trip soon. Am bringing the girls on another shopping spree at DFS Galleria and Cityhall tomorrow. Oyasuminasai!
