November is here
November is here.
Because I have leave to clear, I will be off work for 2 weeks and heading to Hong Kong from the 18th to 22nd. This is my first proper holiday in 5 years, so it's about time.
I am supposed to come up with a list of places to go and things to do for Jeff and Kain to plan the itinerary for Joe and I, but it's hard when all I know of Hong Kong is what I see from Cantonese drama serials, and I don't watch them anyways.
All I know is I am not interested in Disneyland or giant Buddha structures- I shall get my sister to write me a list of must-see places since she was just there in June. I want to experience people, culture and of course food and shopping, as with any other Singaporean tourist.
This also means I will only be working 10 days for a month's worth of pay. Sounds good to me.
One lesson I learnt in the past few weeks- relationships don't last forever. People come and people go. Life moves on.
The only thing I can do is pray and commit everything to Him.
To you, O LORD, I called;
to the Lord I cried for mercy...
Hear, O LORD, and be merciful to me;
O LORD, be my help.
You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever.
- Psalms 30:8-12
