A day to myself 
I've been working extra hours and packing my free days with things to do, places to go and people to meet, so I decided to take a breather and have a day to myself.
I woke up at 10, had my morning coffee and chatted online with friends back home. I did a week's worth of laundry, ironed my shirt, cooked and ate lunch, re-watched Gilmore Girls on DVD.


It has been a while since I last explored Tokyo on my own, and the onset of winter brought about an unbearable chill in the air. By 4 o'clock, all I noticed were the shades of grey and naked branches that surrounded me and I longed for a nice, quiet cafe to read my book with a warm cup of coffee.
I hopped on the subway back to Baba, and had myself some food and caffeine, followed by grocery shopping at Seiyu.
Funny how it turned out to be one of my most productive days after all, and I'm just learning to free my mind of clutter.

Now I'm just waiting for Eric to come in on the shinkansen from Niigata to have dinner together. :)
