They made a status of us
Because on tight-ass Tuesdays it only costs us $5 to catch a movie at
Kino Cinema on Collins Street.

Boy meets girl. Boy falls in love. Girl doesn't. This post modern love story is never what we expect it to be - it's thorny yet exhilarating, funny and sad, a twisted journey of highs and lows that doesn't quite go where we think it will.
The plot reminded me of "Essays in Love" by Alain de Botton, and I was amused when in the movie Summer bumps into Tom on a train reading "Architecture of Happiness" by the same author.
I think E actually enjoyed the movie more than I did, since he wasn't expecting much. On the other hand, I had read a review likening the movie to Annie Hall, so I was a little disappointed.
It was nice to go on a mid-week date nonetheless!
